February 2nd, 2014

I sent the paintings off to Ron-Li--she adored them. I also was in touch with Ms. Hughes about setting up a meeting to assess myself, and just letting her know that I'm almost done with my report.

January 5th, 2014

As I was writing my paper, I realized I didn't post the pictures I had used for inspiration for the elephant painting. So here they are. I used the elephant holding the bouquet in order to get the trunk shape right, but I based my bouquet off the other bouquet. I also realized I didn't ever post a picture of the totally finished elephant, so here that is too.

December 18th, 2013

I had a meeting with Ms. Hughes today, just as a check in to ensure that I am on track to getting this done in time. We talked about the report, and just how to manage my time in a way that will be beneficial so I don't overwhelm myself with work.

I continued to research, and found this Himalayan art, it is
a painting depicting the Indian God and Buddhist Deity Ganapati. The orange and red relate to my paintings, as does the elephant.

December 8th, 2013

I decided I wanted to elaborate on the owl painting, because in relation to the other two, it was the odd one out. So I worked on the red, and increased
the texture and added a gradient color scheme.

November 26th, 2013

(Later in the day than my previous post.) I finished the monkey painting. I think it might be my favorite.

November 26th, 2013

Worked more on the monkeys, I really like how it's turning out. The gradient orange provides a nice texture that I find reminds me of a sunset.

November 24th, 2013

I started painting the monkey today. So far I really like it. I hope to finish this by Thanksgiving.
